ACT Assessment

As students move into their last two years of high school, it is the goal of the state that students be prepared to take the ACT and earn a score allowing them access to institutions of higher education. We know that our state ELA assessment is aligned to the ACT, and so if the work you are doing aligns to the state ELA standards, then your students will be prepared to take the ACT and earn a qualifying score.

To learn more about the standards of the ACT, use the following links:

ACT also offers guidance on how to help a student progress to the next band of scores based on their current level of performance. To learn more about these leveled activities, click here

To learn more about how the ACT aligns with our state ELA assessment, please visit www.ksassessments.org and go to "Score Reports", "Summative", "For Educators". You can also view "Relating Kansas Assessment Program Scores to ACT Scores" for more information.
