Regional Professional Development Communities

Along with our KSDE Science Teacher Leader Team we are VERY excited to be offering quarterly regional professional development meetings. Each meeting will consist of a morning of typical professional development followed by an afternoon to workshop.

Quarter 2

Title: Unit Assessments and Local Phenomenon

Description: In this module, we evaluate the assessments in a model unit and compare against our vision, values, and goals. We apply the evaluation process to one of our own units of instruction to gather evidence from our local assessment system. We use our analysis to identify places within this subsystem that we can make more aligned to our vision, values, and goals and figure out how to design meaningful exit tickets to supplement our local assessment system.
