THE GOAL

In 2012-2013, more than 6,200 people of all ages and background are helped to meet local needs, strengthen communities, and increase civic engagement through national service in Kansas.  With national service participants serving in over 1,000 sites across Kansas, the National Service Family in Kansas is looking to collectively work together around one issue as a way to share our story while strengthening our partnerships.

Therefore, in 2014, the Kansas National Service Family will work to leverage episodic and ongoing projects through days of service and other projects around literacy in Kansas. Ultimately, this will allow all programs to tell one story on how collectively, national service in Kansas, made an impact on literacy.
