CCSSO Math SCASS Fraction Progression PD Introduction

The following documents are to serve as a professional development around the Progressions Documents for the Common Core Math Standards: Progression on Number and Operations—Fractions. The primary objective of the PD is to build content knowledge and understanding of the progressions through examination of a major topic across a number of grade levels informed by research on children’s cognitive development and the structure of mathematics. This was a CCSSO Math SCASS Multi-State DOE Collaboration between:  Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Utah, & Wyoming. The four documents are to be used when delivering the PD to staff.
