KEEP districts will benefit from a greatly enhanced data repository that improves ease of use and several new pages for determining an educator’s final summative rating. KEEP access through authenticated web application will be offline on June 2, 2014 as the new version for the SGM page, the IPP page and the Final Summative Rating page will be put in production. Operation will resume on June 3rd. Additional enhancements for ease of use will be completed on August 1, 2014.

KEEP districts will also need to update the Educator Data Collection System (EDCS) prior to setting evaluation roles in KEEP. This process is the same as in the past and will open on July 1, 2014.

KEEP Training Information

The KSDE KEEP Guided Practice for Teachers and Building Leaders is an online training environment, web-based tool with full 24/7 access. The online guided practice will be updated during the month of August 2014 to include a page for student growth measures and a page for the Final Summary Rating. Numerous page updates will also be added to existing pages. KSDE hopes to complete this process by August 29, 2014.

All teacher-based modules of KEEP Repository functions are now available. The new permanent URL for the KEEP Training Portal is http://training.ksde.org/keep/trainingportal/web/index.htm.

Guided Practice is a JAVA based tool. JAVA must be enabled in order to run the KEEP Guided Practice.

To schedule a training, please see the KEEP Training Dates Chart. Look at all of the open dates and information required. Then send an email requesting a date and including all of the necessary information to schedule your training. Please include the name of the trainer that you will be scheduling. Browsers and KEEP

As of 4/4/2014, KSDE applications support the following browsers: for Microsoft Windows - Internet Explorer (IE) 8, IE 9, and IE 10 when run in compatibility mode; for Macintosh - Firefox up to v26.0.

You may lose information or not be able to save if you use other browsers while in KEEP on either operating system. Using multiple tabs or having multiple tabs open while using KEEP can cause errors in KEEP.
